Rowdy Ryder Academy was founded in 2023 by Tina Meinhardt, a physical therapist and mountain bike coach from Ohio, who also started the Girls, Gears and Beers women's mountain bike club after moving to Denver in 2018, with hopes of meeting other women who share her same passion for mountain biking. 

Tina has been riding for over 25 years and holds the BICP Level 2 Mountain Bike Coach Certification. She is also an Instructor Trainer for the BICP, now offering Level 1 courses for riders interested in also becoming coaches. She enjoys teaching and motivating riders to improve their skills and confidence, making riding more enjoyable and safe. As a physical therapist and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, she is able to use her knowledge in biomechanics and kinesiology to help assess and correct positioning, as well educate and train riders to improve their strength, speed, power and mobility on the bike.

Tina and her husband, Bruce, bought a 2 acre property in West Arvada at the end of 2022, where they are building their dream "mountain bike ranch."  Rowdy Ryder Academy has a 4,000 sq ft turf field for skills practice, a hillside of trails to use for coaching purposes- switchbacks, corners, technical climbing obstacles, a jump line, and a technical descent line (coming fall 2025.)  The ranch also includes a progressive drop zone (plus two NEW large drops on the hillside), a tabletop jump, technical climbing features, berm corner, with more features continuously being built. The ranch also has a garage gym where Coach Tina offers strength and conditioning programs and physical therapy services.

She is available by appointment for private lessons, for any skills or areas of mountain biking you may need to improve. She also holds multiple small group clinics throughout the week and weekends. Please see the Booking Calendar for dates and times. ​
